What We Offer
Our backgrounds in conservation planning, project management, managing invasive plant species, and restoring habitats allow us to offer a full range of options and services to land owners, which include:
Conservation Planning & Consultation
We provide site assessments and management plans to landowners and organizations to address ecological issues on a property, and develop action steps to resolve the issues. Our initial site visits are free to landowners.
Project Management & Design
We work with landowners to achieve positive results through thoughtful planning. We plan activities, prioritize, and phase work to fit within your budget and timeframes. We can manage all aspects of a project including mapping, permitting, grant administration, contracts, and ecological monitoring. Our past experience, communication skills and partnership-building ability enable us to maximize the success of the project.
Project-Driven Grant Writing & Administration
We understand that land restoration can be expensive but we can help. We work with private landowners and organizations to match projects with grant opportunities, and develop grant applications to provide matching funds for projects. We regularly work with NRCS programs, as well as other state and federal agencies, and have raised over $1 million to date for our clients.
Project Implementation
Our crews of trained professionals will implement the project utilizing a variety of methods including low impact, organic, mechanical and conventional approaches. We carefully time each part of the project for the best results.
Invasive Plant Control
We identify the specific species and habitats to be addressed on the site. Our crews are trained, licensed and highly experienced at working carefully in a wide range of environments including wetlands, woodlands, fields and meadows.
Planting
Whether we create a new planting, enhance an existing site, or restore impaired habitats we can plan, design and install a variety of native planting options. We have experience with planting restoration and mitigation sites, pollinator and landscape designs.
Pollinator Habitat
Depending on each individual site, we can design, install or enhance a range of pollinator habitats. We have worked with individual homeowners, garden clubs and and conservation organizations to help support our challenged native pollinators.
Forestry Mowing
We are equipped to clear and maintain, fields and early successional habitat through forestry mowing. We also work with towns, water companies, and utilities to manage understory vegetation on right-of-ways.
